Annual Craft and Vendor Fair
SHDT hosts an Annual Craft and Vendor Fair to show the work of talented Seniors. Each year, the show is one of our most popular events showcasing these wonderful artists and helping fund more wishes in coming months.
See Upcoming Events for more information!

HUG A SENIOR DAY!
SHDT began Hug a Senior Day May 27th, 2007 and in 2009, it was declared a CT State holiday by Governor Rell.
In 2016, SHDT set up hugging sites at Boscov's in Meriden Mall with Platt High School students, Stop and Shop in Meriden on Centennial Plaza with Maloney High School students, and Stop and Shop on East Main Street in Meriden. East Hampton High School students were joined by SHDT President Sally F. Smith at East Hampton Stop & Shop!
Let us know if your school would like to participate next year! We also love having Senior Volunteers for theis event. Volunteer to get hugged!

What We Do Best
GRANTING WISHES
Lois, a resident of Mystic Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, gives a thumbs-up from the cockpit of the helicopter for her son John S. Trakas, center, and her nurse Amy Jordan, right, prior to a ride courtesy of Seniors Have Dreams Too, Inc. Monday, November 9, 2015. Leveille was an airline stewardess, when they were still called that, prior to the jet era working on board Douglas DC-3 aircraft. Lois wanted to fly again. We helped make that dream a reality. Lois is one of dozens of Seniors with Dreams we want to see come true.
