GET INVOLVED

VOLUNTEER

SHDT is always in need of volunteers.  Whether you want to hug on Hug a Senior Day, help us hang art at our upcoming show, or help support one of our many fundraisers by buying a ticket for you and a friend, Seniors Have Dreams, Too, welcomes your support.

HUG A SENIOR DAY!

SHDT began Hug a Senior Day May 27th, 2007 and in 2009, it was declared a CT State holiday by Governor Rell.

In 2016, SHDT set up hugging sites at Boscov's in Meriden Mall with Platt High School students, Stop and Shop in Meriden on Centennial Plaza with Maloney High School students, and Stop and Shop on East Main Street in Meriden. East Hampton High School students were joined by SHDT Presideny Sally F. Smith at East Hampton Stop & Shop!

Let us know if your school would like to participate next year!

BUSINESSES

SHDT is always in need of donated gifts from area businesses. They can range from limo rides to concert tickets, monetary to holding fundraisers or matching funds. If your business would like to contribute in any way, please contact Sally Smith at 203-824-3967. THANK YOU
